AfterSkool Is Lit organized a Music Arts Festival in Cosmo City Shopping Centre, which attracted a large number of young and local entertainers on the 22nd and 23rd of July .
Individuals and groups fought for awards throughout the day, and local artists entertained the audience.The first award in the dance competition went to Khathaza Dance Crew, second prize went to UNBT Dance Crew, and third prize went to Black Ke Color Yamanyora.
The purpose of the event was to commemorate Mandela Day and entertain the community, according to the event organizer Sifisokuhle Mkhwananzi.
Mkhwanazi, who is better known as Scima, said he was happy that the event was a success.
"I want to thank the community for supporting our event," he said. "I also appreciate the parents for allowing their kids to participate in the competition. The goal is to educate and entertain young people and help them with issues that young people encounter today."
Scima stated that through providing these activities, he hopes to gather funds to assist people with the basics they require, such as netball equipment, transportation, and uniforms.
Their next event will take place in September, he said, and added, “We also thank RENICO Real Etate for allowing us to use their facilities. The youth of Cosmo City turned out in force to support the 67-minute initiative. We would want to express our gratitude to Pick'n Pay Quali Save, Rebel's Pizza, Engen Garage, Fish and Chips Basket, Geti's Fashion, Caps Store, Mmino More Entertainment and Clicks. Their support was really appreciated."
